Course content
Nursing issues in the care of the labouring woman during physiological labour. Practicing the process of attending to delivery-associated injuries. The nursing process in the care of the woman in physiological labour.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to learn basic terminology and acquire practical skills in the area of prenatal care and nursing care of the woman during a physiological birth. This is a significant part of obstetrics, focusing on monitoring of the health status of the mother and foetus during pregnancy and physiological birth.
The student independently performs the basic components of the prenatal diagnosis and is able to become an integral part of the diagnostic team in the area of the prenatal diagnostics and genetic counselling.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Home assignment evaluation

Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the practicum sessions and seminars. Successful completion of a written test. Completing assigned written work (development and defence - seminar work, presentation, group work, model nursing plan, educational material, case study). Successful completion of an oral examination.
