Introduction into the educational-therapeutic methods and techniques. The classification of concepts, methods and techniques. The importance of the use of the educational-therapeutic methods and techniques. The requirements for worker assisting profession. The principles of application of therapeutic methods. Therapeutic concepts, methods, and techniques usable by persons with physical and multiple disabilities. The application of therapeutic concepts, methods and techniques in the field of care for persons with mental disabilities. The usability of the therapeutic concepts, methods and techniques for individuals with sensory and multiple disabilities. Animotherapy - canistherapy, hippotherapy. Art therapy, drama therapy, theatre therapy, psychodrama, bibliotherapy, poetry therapy, music therapy. Psychotherapy, logotherapy. Cognitive training, cognitive stimulation. Learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to acquaint students theoretically and practically with selected educational-therapeutic methods and techniques.
Student demonstrates practical knowledge in the application of therapeutic-formative approaches to persons with specific needs, student is able to apply the acquired knowledge into practice of the medical social worker.
