The socio-legislative framework of activities of non-governmental non-profit organisations, including historical context. Types of non-governmental non-profit organisations in the Czech Republic. Method of their establishment. Development of non-governmental non-profit organisations. Planning. Project management. Public relations and fundraising. Volunteering. Establishment of a non-governmental non-profit organization. Assignment of a seminar work. Vision, goal, strategy, resources. Planning in a non-governmental non-profit organization. Model situations. Preparation of a project and a grant application. Public relations - necessary skills and useful tools. Fundraising - selected tools. Working with volunteers. Model situations.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the non-profit sector as an important area in which health and social work is applied.
Students gain an overview of the legal forms of non-profit organizations and the process of their establishment. During the course, students learn about selected topics in the management and functioning of a non-profit organization with an emphasis on the practical application of the acquired knowledge and skills.

80 % active participation in seminars. Submission of a seminar paper. Passing a written test or oral examination as decided by the course guarantor.
