Crime, offence and offender. Execution of imprisonment. Alternative sentences. Probation and mediation service. Counselling for offenders. Victims of crime. Specifics of crisis work with victims of crime. Counselling for victims of crime. Introduction - discussion on a given topic, analysis of a current situation. Typology of offenders. Specifics of juvenile delinquency, probation programme. Typology of victims of crime. Visit to the intervention centre.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to familiarize the learner with issues in social work with offenders - with the history, basic terminology and with the issue of victims of crime.
Student knows the basic terminology of the subject, he/ she is versed in the history and the present, can apply theoretical information in practice.
