Course content
General and topographic anatomy of the external genitals, perineum, and vagina. General and topographic anatomy of the uterus. General and topographic anatomy of the fallopian tubes and the ovaries. The anatomical peculiarities of children's genitals, and the timing of surgical procedures. The equipment of the operating rooms in gynecology and obstetrics. Conditions of surgical treatment, the basic types of surgical procedures and surgical approaches in gynecology and obstetrics. Care specifics of pre-operative care for female client in gynecology and obstetrics. Abdominal operation. Vaginal operation. Operations on the external genitalia. Operations on the breast and in axilla. General and topographic anatomy of the external genitals, perineum and vagina, and indications for surgery - practicum. General and topographic anatomy of the uterus - practicum. General and topographic anatomy of the fallopian tubes - the practicum. General and topographic anatomy of the ovaries - practicum. The anatomical peculiarities of children's genitals, and the timing of surgical procedures.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to deepen theoretical and practical knowledge of the anatomy of the reproductive organs of women and the specific requirements of the surgical treatment in gynecology and obstetrics.
Student is familiar with the topographic anatomy of the reproductive organs of a woman. Student knows all the types of surgical procedures performed in the treatment of gynecological patients and pregnant women.

Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the lectures. Completion of a written test or oral examination according to the course guarantor's decision.
