Course content
The development of figh, family, patrimonial, criminal law. State power, clergy. Dogmatics. Eschatology. Five pillars of Islam, shahadah, prayer, alms, fasting, the pilgrimage to Mecca. Shi´a and other "Sects". Islamic mysticism.

Learning outcomes
The objective of this course is to broaden students´ knowledge about the basic principals of Islam, including its liturgy, dogmatics, history of prophecy, laws, and so on.
Student will gain deeper understanding of the foundations of beliefs, law and customs of different Islamic traditions.
Prerequisites
Good record in World History and Literature.
