In this course, students will get the basic knowledge of Shintó within the context of Japanese culture, it?s development and interaction with other religious traditions.
Students will gain a general overview of Shintó as one of many streams under the surface of Japanese religious life. Subsequently, they will get the overall idea about a different approach the phenomena of religion within the context of a different culture.
