Course content
1. Social services network on local level. 2. Target groups of social services 3. Obligations of providers of social services. 4. Financial resources of social services. 5. The role of individuals in the social services planning process. 6. Quality of social service. 7. Social work - qualifications. 8. Social services network. 9. Availability of social services. 10. Social services tools. 11. Principles of community planning. 12. Evaluation of social services. 13. Social policy and Social Anthropology.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming)
  • Contact teaching - 39 hours per semester
  • Preparation of a presentation (report) - 20 hours per semester
  • Writing a seminar paper - 20 hours per semester
  • Independent critical reading - 15 hours per semester
  • Individual project - 15 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce students the practical application of the social policy on the local level, to the planning methods and local social service network development, and to the specifications of social services used in urban and rural areas.
Students will orientate in methodics of social services community planning, they will be able to analyze strategic documents in social sector, to describe social service network and to define problems and barriers in social policy application on the local level.
