Course content
Application of anthropological methods during the field research.

Learning outcomes
Important part of the programme is the anthropological fieldwork, which the students carry on alone or in groups in areas, where the research has already been started. Field work that belongs to the subject of anthropological study (study of ethnicity, Roma studies, repeated field research of local communities, etc.), is preferred. Field research is closely connected with the topic of the future diploma thesis of the students and it is realised at the end of the second semester of the master study programme. During the practical part, students will apply all the advanced methods and techniques of anthropological research.
Students will learn how to participate and manage the fieldwork.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment

Students will carry on the research individually or in group in areas, where the research has been already started under supervision of members of KSV FF UPa. On the basis of the diploma paper project, student will carry on research under the supervision of the consultant of the research for at least 2 months. Students will consult theoretical, methodology and other aspects of the research with the supervisor. After termination of the research, students will write a report.
