Course content
|
Windows operating system - theory and administration: 1. Windows architectures and editions, new features. 2. Processes, threads, multitasking, multithreading, inter-process communications. 3. Virtual memory, LAP, FAP. 4. File systems and their properties, data storages. 5. CLI / GUI and alternative user interfaces. 6. Windows registry, its keys, subkeys, values, and their data types. Registry management. 7. Network management in Windows, available tools (Netsh, Remote Desktop, etc.) 8. WMI interface for data and functionality management on both local and remote Windows operating systems. 9. Configure and use Microsoft Internet Information Services. 10. Windows Server - System administration and usage of its tools. 11. Security of Windows, malware, and fraudulent operating systems. 12. Scripting batch files, Powershell scripts. 13. Universal Windows Application (UWP) application, Windows operating system API.

Learning outcomes
|
The goal is to get students acquainted with the deeper theory of operating systems and practically applying the theory in the most common Windows server operating systems. Get practical experience and advanced skills of management in Windows operating systems.
Deeper knowledge of Windows operating system and its management.

|
User knowledge of a Windows OS, basic programming skills, basic knowledge of Windows management.
