Course content
|
Methodical apparatus of logistics, forecasting methods, other methods used (eg. Logistic costs). Theory of handling units, static and dynamic forces acting on the handling units. Inventory management, optimal order quantities, continuous and discontinuous consumption. Theoretical approaches to optimize the deployment of warehouses. Theories serve a territory distribution technology. Electronic data interchange, barcodes and RFID. Theoretical evaluation picking systems with regard to efficiency. Modern transportation systems in relation to urban and regional operators. Product life cycle related to reverse logistics. Management of intralogistics, innovative solutions.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the subject is to offer information about logistics and transport technologies in logistics chains during material flow control and during distribution control.
After finishing the subject, the student is able to control logistic chains in various economic branches, using modern logistic and transport technologies. Pursuant to knowledge of transport techology, student is also able to apply combined transport technology in suitable cases.
