Introduction, systematic approach in optimisation. Model of transport services in a territory, optimisation of transport services. Winter road maintenance technology and its optimisation. Creating a plan for winter road maintenance. Optimising transport of oversize cargo in road transport using network analysis. Use of IT and specialised software in road transport. Telematics and fleet controlling in road transport. Extra time, summary of information.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to teach students how to handle technological processes in road passenger transport, including public transport, and in special freight transport and their optimisation; how to process technological methods in the creation of train schedules in rail transport
Upon completion of the course, the students will be able to create a technological process in road and public transport using optimisation methods.

Assessment methods and criteria

Oral examination
The credit confirms that the student has attended the lessons in certain frequency and that has fulfilled all requirements. The conditions of credit awarding depend on the teacher. The examination (form, content, length) is given by "Study and Examination Order".
