Course content
|
Legal and administrative foundations of logistics and transport technology (accounting law). Overview of legal, transport and tariff standards relating to logistics and transport activities in national transport. Overview of legal, transport and tariff standards relating to logistics and transport activities in international transport. Negotiating transportation contracts, shipping and accompanying documents. Documentary letter, importance for international trade. Liability arising from a contract of carriage, liberation grounds for exemption from liability. Complaints procedure, handling of insured events, documents for the complaints procedure. Customs procedure in logistics technology. Stock records, inventory documents, liability. Forwarding contract. Contract for control services. Relative property rights. Ties of the freight forwarder to the customer, to the carrier.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the legal and administrative fundamentals in logistics technology.
Upon completion of the course, the students will be able to utilise theoretical and practical applications associated with clearance of shipments in all modes of transport and conclude commercial contracts for such transport.
