Course content
Introduction in questions of barriers in public transport. History of accessible environment creation. Technical terms. Basic principles of motion, orientation and communication of persons wit reduced mobility (PRM). Fundamental parameters and characteristic of accessible environment in public transport (PT) and public areas (PA) for PRM. Tactile arangements for visually impaired people. Arangements for people with reduced motion. Accessible ground communications. Accessible PT stops. Accessible railway platforms and halls. Requirements for accessible PT vehicle, info systems and personal of carriers. Accessibility analysis of PT and PA environment. Technology of PRM transportation (rail, bus, urban transport, special transport). Methodology of accessible routes design in town / city. Foreign systems of accessible environment creation.

Learning outcomes
The main aim of the subject is to inform students about the questions of public transport accessibility designing for person with reduced mobility. Students are informed about the barriers and about possible ways of barriers removing as well. The knowledge about the principles and conditions of independent and safe motion, orientation and communications, transport conditions of these passengers are implemented into the subject as well.
The graduates of the subject will be able to refer and think about the specifics of public transport and following space in the point of view of accessibility for persons with reduced mobility. Students will be able to propose basic barrier-free solutions in all subsystems of public transport and in the following space.

Oral examination, Written examination

The credit confirms that the student has attended the lessons in certain frequency and that has fulfilled all requirements. The conditions of credit awarding depend on the teacher. The examination (form, content, length) is given by "Study and Examination Order".
