Course content
Introduction in logistics and logistic systems. Logistic techniques. Transport logistic. Techniques of combined transport. Logistic centres - history, types, systems. Logistic in development, supplying and production. Warehouse logistics, inventory control. Logistics in distribution and in store. The role of informatics in logistics. Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), automatic identification. City terminals and city logistics. Usage of logistic principles in passenger transport. Logistic methods. Case study. Time reserve, summary of the subject matter.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to give information to students about the basic conception in the field of logistics. The specifics of application of the logistic principles in various industries are also embodied in the subject.
Student is able to be well informed about main logistic principles and about the possibilities of implementation of the logistic principles in practise.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

The credit confirms that the student has attended the lessons in certain frequency and that has fulfilled all requirements. The conditions of credit awarding depend on the teacher. The examination (form, content, length) is given by "Study and Examination Order".
