Container terminals development. Development of container terminals in the Czech Republic. Transloading operations innovation in chosen container terminals. Transloading automation in container terminals - part I. Transloading automation in container terminals - part II. Transloading automation in container terminals - part III. Modernization of inland container terminals. New systems of container trains. Terminal technologies, measuring of terminal's capacity. New systems of accompanied and unaccompanied intermodal transport. The development and modernization of container ships. Significant shipping companies operating container ships. European tri-modal terminals. Excursion into chosen container terminal. Spare time, subject summary.

Learning outcomes |
The aim of the subject is to introduce new intermodal transport systems used in the Czech Republic and in the World, new transloading technologies and container transport innovations.
After passing the subject, the student is able to describe individual intermodal transport systems, characterize new trends and innovation in transloading of transport units. Student is also able to orientate in intermodal transport in the World, Europe and the Czech Republic. |

It is expected an overview of new trends in combined transport and the innovative elements in transshipment of transport units.
