Course content

Introduction to problematic of railway transport. Legislative scope of operating of railway transport (RT). Basic terms in RT. Railway transport graph - tools. Principles of construction of plotted schedule. Operating intervals. Station and track interval. Subsequent intervals. Transport systems in freight RT. Train formation tools. Technology of marshalling station as system. Technological processes in marshalling stations. Information systems in RT. Operative managing in RT. Time allowance, conclusion.

|
To acquaint students with legislative for operating of transport in Czech Republic as well as in EU, to construct the schedule and utilise an information system for controlling of railway transport.
After passing, student is able to utilise legislative knowledge in organization of RT, create an supply of traffic service of territory by construction of schedule.

Assessment methods and criteria

Written examination
By granting of credit it is approved that student of present form study has been attended in required measure of obligatory education and accomplished the requests that were set as conditions for granting. The conditions of granting are set by the teacher. The examination (form, content, duration) is set in accordance with Educational and Examinational Code of UPa.
