Course content
Introduction to problematic of railway transport (RT). Basic terms in RT. Calculation of running time. Railway transport schedule. Legislative scope of operating of railway transport. Interlocking plants. Operating intervals in stations. Operating intervals on the track. Subsequent intervals. Transport systems in RT. Transportation technology in fright RT. Fright RT and individual package in RT. Operative managing in RT. Information systems in RT.

Learning outcomes
To acquaint students with legislative for operating of transport in Czech Republic as well as in EU, to know transportation systems in passenger and fright railway transportation, incl. information systems for controlling of railway traffic.
After passing, student is able to utilise basic technological principles of railway transport and traffic, principles of time-sheduling and managing of railway traffic.

Oral examination, Written examination

Conditions for exam are stipulated by the teacher during the first lesson of the semester lecture period. The examination in the subject (its form, content and duration) is determined in compliance with the Study and Examination Regulations of the University of Pardubice.
