Course content
The role of logistic centers in logistic systems. Logistic centers planning and location models. Forms, funktions, structure and services of logistic centers. Logistic centers establishing, legislation. Environmental aspects of logistic centers. Green technologiesi in logistics centers Logistic centers as a part of City logistics systems. Distribution models in city logistics. Micro hubs and cargo bikes in city logistics. Case studies.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to explain the problematic of logistic centers establishing and operating.
After completing the course, the student will be familiar with the principles of planning logistics centers with regard to minimizing environmental impact. He/she is able to analyze appropriate technological options in planning and implementing logistics centers using green technologies.

Assessment methods and criteria
Home assignment evaluation

For students of the full-time study participation in an examination is conditioned by obtaining a course credit. The obtained course credit confirms that the full-time student attended the lessons in the required amount, that he/she met the requirements for acquiring the course credit and may proceed to take the examination. Conditions for acquiring the course credit are stipulated by the teacher during the first week of the semester lecture period. The examination in the subject (its form, content and duration) is determined in compliance with the Study and Examination Regulations of the University of Pardubice.
