Learning activities and teaching methods
unspecified, Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Demonstration
  • Term paper - 15 hours per semester
  • Participation in classes - 52 hours per semester
  • Data/material collection - 10 hours per semester
  • Preparation for an exam - 30 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 43 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the study subject is to teach students about principles of design of transport models, including important methods applied by modelling. The subject has 2 alternative branches according to the focus of students on road or railway transport. The branches differ in content of seminars. Seminars are focused on development of transport models in chosen mode of transport.
The students will get an overview about possibilities, tools, methods and approaches applied by transport modelling. They will get information about basic kinds of models applied in transport.
Prerequisites
Basic overview about transport technology and mathematics is presupposed.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination

Reaching of a credit is a precondition for attendance at exam. It is confirmed by the credit that a student attended classes at least in defined extent and that student has fulfilled all requirements needed for credit. These requirements and conditions are set by lecturer in the first week of a term (first week of teaching of this study subject). Detailed conditions for exam are introduced by examiner in the first week of teaching as well. Credit: attandace in required extent, presentation of semester thesis. Exam: oral form with written preparation (archived), 3 questions from 33, registering at term in the STAG system.
