Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the issue of urban planning activities in transport. After completing this course, the student will have an overview of existing legislation, standards and technical conditions that are related to the process of spatial planning in the Czech Republic and the design of roads in urban and rural areas. With the help of these aids, he should be able to propose measures to calm traffic in built-up areas, pedestrian roads and cyclist roads. The course further develops the issues discussed in the course Sustainable transport (recommended 1 / WS) and the subject Transport Engineering (recommended 1 / SS) is a free continuation of it.
After completing the course, the student will have an overview of existing legislation, standards, technical conditions related to the process of urban planning in transport and the design of roads and intersections. With the help of these aids, he will be able to assess the proposed measures on roads and intersections related to the organization of transport (especially to design the concept of urban communication network, organization of transport space, etc. with regard to the function and use of roads).
