Course content
1. Introduction to the issue. 2. IT support for railway traffic management - network level, CDP. 3. IT support for railway traffic management - local level (GTN, ASVC). 4. IT to support railway traffic planning and allocation of railway capacity at SŽDC, ordering processes train paths in the conditions of a liberalized railway. 5. SW for construction of timetables. 6. IT support of transport and transportation processes and management - freight carriers. 7. IT support of transport and transportation processes and management - passenger carriers. 8. Management support - data warehouses. 9. International IT applications for rail transport. 10. TSI TAF - telematics applications for freight. 11. TSI TAP - telematics applications for passenger services. 12. Digitization in railway transport - big data. 13. New technical and technological solutions for railway transport (ATO).

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the possibilities of ITC support at all levels of railway traffic management, from the perspective of the infrastructure manager as well as railway undertaking, in the national and international framework, to learn to use SW tools to solve railway tasks.
The student will gain knowledge in the use of ICT in rail transport and practical knowledge with the work of selected SW tools.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of technological processes in railway transport from the point of view of infrastructure manager, carrier, national and international connections.

Oral examination, Written examination

The condition for participation in the exam is for students of the full-time form of study to obtain a credit. The credit confirms that the student has participated in the teaching to the required extent and that he / she has met the requirements that were conditional on the granting of the credit, and can proceed to passing the exam. The conditions for granting the credit are determined by the teacher in the first week of the lecture period of the semester. Examination of the subject written and presentation of the semester work, specific conditions are set by the teacher in the first lesson, in accordance with the Study and Examination Regulations of University of Pardubice.
