Course content
Transport system - European and national context Basic characteristics of transport modes and their processes, technological and operational aspects Timetabling, planning of resources for their provision, capacity problems ICT (information and communication technologies) for traffic management Integrated transport system - passenger public transport Intermodal transport - freight transport Quality in transport

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Skills training
  • Contact teaching - 26 hours per semester
  • Preparation for an exam - 30 hours per semester
  • Preparation of a presentation (report) in a foreign language - 20 hours per semester
  • Team project - 34 hours per semester
  • Writing a seminar paper - 70 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to apply theoretical knowledge and to extend practical knowledge of the transport system, especially in the field of optimisation of transport technology and management in the different modes of transport.
After completing the course, the student is oriented in the problems of technology, management and optimization possibilities in the different modes of transport
