Course content
Safety in PE with a focus on badminton. Rules of badminton. Badminton racquets and materials - selection of suitable racquets and strings. Basic holding racquet, the game. Practicing service, the game. Practicing service reception, the game. Practicing overhead stroke, the game. Practicing smash, the game. Practicing defensive game, smash choice, the game. Singles tactics for beginners, the game. Individual tournament. Doubles tactics, the game. Doubles tournament.

Learning outcomes
To allow students to do regular physical activity available and use it to keep in good physical and mental condition. During the semester, students learn the rules, basic strokes and basic gaming activities of individuals and couples.
Students master key game activities - service, long and short drive, smash and smash choice. In theory, they learn basic rules of the game and are familiar with the basics of sports training in badminton.
Prerequisites
It's necessary that student will be in good health condition.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment

75% active participation in lessons. Teacher tells the other requirements in the first week of semester.
