Course content
The definition of andragogy, the history of andragogy, the particularities of educating adults, the conception of integral andragogy. The psychological particularities of the adulthood, the lifelong education and lifelong learning. The current problems of educating adults, didactic and therapeutic conceptions when helping adults. Social andragogy, special andragogy. The education of seniors, the forms of the education of seniors. The introduction to gerontopedagogy, The particularities of a senior age. Andragogy as a care and the support of an adult individual.

Learning outcomes
The objective of the course is to introduce the students to the definition of andragogy and to the particularities of the work with adults.
The students will enhance their knowledge in the field of Andragogy with regard to the students´ specialization.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination

Before entering the course the students are required to have passed the course PGPS. Seminar paper, the discussion about the given topic, a written test and an oral examination.
