Course content
Introduction to the issue, the possibility of using domestic animals for the treatment of the psyche and personality of the person, the opportunities of social stimulation and emotional communication. The theoretical comprehensive overview ¨ Hippotherapy (therapeutic riding) Canis and felino therapy. Additional options appropriate to the therapeutic use of pets with various health diagnoses. Practical demonstration of hippotherapy. A practical demonstration of canis therapy. Presentation of the case study, the granting of credit

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with a comprehensive overview of the broad possibilities of application of therapeutic skills of domestic animals to treat the person´s psyche and personality, and also to stimulate social and emotional communication in a domestic as well as institutional environment.
Learners will be oriented in the issue of animoterapie in the range of the syllabus and will be able to apply the acquired skills in practice.

The Student has the prerequisites for the orientation in the issue according to the content of the course.
