Course content

The specifics of the education at the beginning of the 3rd millennium, characteristics, postmodern society, integration, inclusion, inclusive education, special education, multicultural education, quality of life, lifelong learning, the andragogical thinking, older as a target group of pedagogy.

Learning outcomes
|
The objective of the course is to introduce to the students current problems of pedagogical theory and practice.
The students will be able to distinguish various concepts of pedagogical thinking in the 20th century. They will understand the problems of social and pedagogical integration of physically handicapped as well as socially handicapped pupils and they will participate actively in projects.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written examination, Work-related product analysis
Active participation in seminars, obligatory presence at excursions. Portfolio with student's own explorational activities and study and notes from excursions. Writing a paper on a chosen topic and its presentation.
