Global influences on pedagogical thinking. Decentralisation, economy in education. Pluralisation in pedagogical theories. Liberalisation and individualisation. Democratisation of pedagogical theory and practice.

Learning outcomes
|
The objective of the course is to provide students with the knowledge of the development, expectations and current problems in pedagogical and special pedagogical theory and practice.
The student will gain the competence of critical thinking; he/she will understand main contexts which are basic for current trends in pedagogical theory and practice. He/she will be able to apply current documents.

Prerequisites
|
The Student has the prerequisites for the orientation in the issue according to the content of the course.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance assessment, Work-related product analysis, Discussion, Self project defence
Obligatory attendance of seminars. Portfolio with student's own explorational activities and study. Writing a paper on a chosen topic and its presentation.
