Pagan Europe (sagas and myths). Christian universalism. External and internal enemies. Religious belief and reason. The problem of European humanism. Rationalism and the Age of Reason. Romanticism in Europe. The class system. War conflicts. The development of European integration.

Learning outcomes
|
The objective of this course is to introduce to students the general problems of Europe from the point of view of its historical, political, economic, cultural, and social development and other perspectives helpful for an understanding of the main developmental problems and their possible solutions.
Students will be encouraged to think in an interdisciplinary way that crosses the provincial and national character and leads to a synthetic view of the problems of Europeanism.
