Course content
|
The formation, development and subject matter of social pedagogy. Free time and its conception in pedagogy (terminology, aims, content, methods). Biological and social determinants of the development of a human being. The development of pedagogy of a free time. Education, its aims, features and the methods of educational influence. Qualifying education and a free time. Family as a basic educational institution. The concept of a play. The syndrome of a mistreated and neglected child. The syndrome of an estranged parent. A moral formation of a human being (elemental moral habits, the formation of moral beliefs, the concept of a character, moral feelings etc.). The conception of moral formation. An interest activity and the motivation. Relaxing function of a free time. Child delinquency, youth delinquency, the causes, the prevention. Pedagogical worker and the educational influence. The development of human resources. The principles of lifelong education. Educational worker for a free time. Free time activities as a resource for the cultivation of the personality.

Learning outcomes
|
The objective of the course is to introduce the students to the social pedagogy which is an integral part of pedagogical disciplines. The themes which represent the core of social pedagogy are in the focus of attention: biological and social determinative of education, socialization, family as an educational institution, moral formation of a person etc. Extracurricular education will be emphasized. Pedagogy of a free time will be focused primarily on the work with adults and the youth, secondarily on the particularities when working with children.
The students will enhance their knowledge in the field of Social Pedagogy and a Free Time with regard to the students´ specialization.
