Course content
|
The theory of multiple intelligence. IQ and EQ requirements in education. Neurophysiologic function of the brain and the requirements of current schools. Intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Reward and punishment. The psychology of effective teaching. The authority of a teacher in lessons. Speech and the development of speech in regard to foreign language classes. A fidgety and not concentrated child in the educational process. Problem behaviour and emotional disorders in a school age. Left-hand writing and other minor disorders of motor activity. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders. Developmental disorders involved in learning and in a school practice. Support institutions, MŠMT regulations, and methodical instructions connected with the subject. Psychological aspects of classroom management. The usage of psychological knowledge about learning and teaching, in practice.

Learning outcomes
|
The objective of this course is to introduce problems that are relevant for students of the teaching program at FF UPa.
The students will focus on the individual and social qualities of intra-personal (personality), interpersonal (social), and social dimensions. The students will gain information about the problems of education of pupils, they will integrate existing knowledge and experience with the new knowledge.

Credit is based on active participation, a seminar paper, a discussion on a chosen topic.
