Course content
The law and its sources, the subject of law. The implementation and creation of the law. Constitutional system in the Czech Republic. Civil law - the law of obligation (purchase contract, gift contract). Civil law ? the rent of a flat. Civil law ? the law of succession. Family law ? matrimony. Family law ? adoption, foster care. Labour law ? working situation. Penal law ? sentences and their infliction. Penal law ? criminal prosecution. Legal regulations of university education, legal regulations of elementary and secondary education.

Learning outcomes
The objective of the course is to introduce the students to the legal system in the Czech Republic while taking account of the EU legal system. The attention will be paid to the educational legislation and legal regulations connected with the marginalized individuals.
The students will enhance their basic knowledge in the field of law with regard to the students´ specialization.

Written examination

Attendance at least 80%. A written assignment. Self-study of the obligatory and recommended literature.
