Course content
The meaning of social work. Social work as a discipline, various approaches of a social worker to the work. Dilemmas in social work. Legislative and institutional basis of social work. Competences of a social worker. Social work in particular fields.

Learning outcomes
The objective of the course is to introduce the students to social work, to the position of social work in the system of social policy and at the same time to focus on the contemporary understanding and the approach of social work to the minorities, to a family and to social work in institutions concerned with resocialization programs.
The students will enhance their knowledge in the field of Social Work with regard to the students´ specialization.

Presentation

Before entering the course the students are required to have passed the course PZLO. Active participation in seminars and during an excursion. Seminar paper and its presentation.
