Hardware, software. MS Windows - basic control and configuration. MS Windows - application program. MS Word. MS Excel. Other software facilities.

Learning outcomes
The objective of this course is to introduce to students the basic terms from informatics, technical and software computer features focused on the operating system MS Windows and a package of application programs MS Office (Word, Excel). This course will also consider working on the Internet (the architecture of the Internet, the WWW, search services, FTP, electronic post) and the problem of data protection (cryptology, viruses, anti-viruses, and so on).
Students will be able to use a personal computer with basic software facilities and to understand IT problems.
