Course content
1st week: Physical quantities, scalar and vector quantities, derivatives, 2nd week: Kinematics of straight and circular motion 3rd week: Dynamics ? Newton?s laws, force, momentum, 4th week: Mechanical work and energy, power 5th ? 6th week: Dynamics of rotating body, torque, angular momentum, energy 7th week: Newton?s law of gravity, Archimedes? law, Pascal?s law 8th week: Coulomb?s law, electrostatic field spherical vs. homogeneous 9th week: Ohm?s law, work and power of DC current, Kirchhoff?s laws 10th week: Electromagnetism, force on moving charge/ current in magnetic field 11th week: Magnetic field of current ? Biot-Savart?s law. 12th week: Electromagnetic induction 13th week: AC currents, transformers 14th week: Fermat?s vs. Hyphens? principal, lens and mirror

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book)
Learning outcomes
Subject introduces students into basics of general physics - mechanics, electrostatics, electrodynamics, and electromagnetism.
Subject substitutes the high school matter and makes the students ready for F1 lectures. Solution of basic physical problems.

Since it is introduction they are not specified.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination, Student performance assessment

Three written exams (two of them within semester and summarizing one prior to oral exam). They constitute approx. 40% of overall exam rating. Oral exam on three topic of the syllabus. To pass the examination student must achieve at least 50% points of summarizing written exam.
