Learning outcomes
|
The subject is designed as a laboratory practice. Students absolve individual experimental exercises according to their knowledge. They are learned in basic experimental papermaking techniques such as microscopy of wood, chemical analysis of black liquor and waste-water. They are also practiced in determination of some basic paper and board mechanical and physical properties. Student is able at the end of this course to orientate in some basic methods exploited for characterization of paper materials and their properties.
The students will obtain the new knowledge of materials like wood, pulp and paper as such. They are also practiced in techniques of synthesis of some cellulose-base materials and with theirs properties.
