Course content

Sulphate pulp preparation on pilot digester. Pulp bleaching. Paper filling - study of amount of fillers in paper to paper properties. Coloured papers and whitening agents. Fractionation of fibrous suspension. Paper coating - preparation of coating mixtures.

|
The subject is designed as a laboratory practice. Students absolve individual practical exercises predominantly on pilot equipments such as laboratory beaters, laboratory pulp digester, etc. The course brings information especially about behaviour and preparation of fibrous papermaking materials and about several auxiliary paper agents.
