Learning outcomes
The course brings information about basic papermaking principles and methods, with accent on machine equipments for processes at separate sections of paper machine. Student is able at the end of this course to orientate in some papermaking problems typically occur on paper and board machines. Students are informed about present-day technologies and methods in the whole world primarily in the Czech Republic used in papermaking process during treatment of raw materials to paper and used equipment (especially Fourdrinier machines).
Student is able at the end of this course to orientate in some papermaking problems typically occurs on paper and board machines.
Prerequisites
The course is a follow-up to course - Pulp Production and Properties.
Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination
Student writes summary test at the end of semester which results in classified credit. After that student passes oral exam during which examiners evaluate degree of assumption of the papermaking technology methods and principles
