Course content
Week 1: Introduction to the subject. Artificial intelligence and its use. Operating system, work with files and archives. Word - Introduction. Formatting. Mathematical and chemical formulas. Tables. Week 2: Word - Advanced work with Styles, Sections. Image editing. Week 3: Excel - Introduction. Work with sheets. Using cell and sheet lock. Addressing cells and areas, basic calculations, overview of operators, copying formulas, fixed addressing. Week 4: Excel - Error values. Functions in Excel. Logical functions. Writing a composite function. Create and edit different types of graphs. Using regression in a graph. Week 5: Excel - Create and edit different types of charts. Using regression in a graph. Week 6: Excel - Data import and export. Search and text functions. Week 7: Excel - Solving equations using the Find Solution and Solver analytical tools. Week 8: Excel - Use of linear interpolation to solve chemical problems. Use of the solver for non-linear fitting of experimental data. Week 9: Excel - Displaying error bars in a graph. Statistical data analysis. Pivot table and chart. Week 10: OriginLab - Introduction, basic mathematical operations, data import Week 11: OriginLab - Graph creation, interpolation, statistical data processing Week 12: ChemDraw - Introduction, basic work in the program, creation of simple structures Week 13: ChemDraw - Creation of reactions, stereospecific display.

Learning outcomes
Consolidate the knowledge of students in the use of computer technology, to familiarize them with advanced functions of office software, with selected specialized programs and services that they will be able to use both during their studyig as well as in their further work.
Student after completion of the course will be able to effectively create different types of technical documents with the most advanced instruments in compliance with the typographical conventions and principles to facilitate teamwork. Will be able to process experimental data in a spreadsheet editor or in specific software OriginLab, create a chart, perform calculations and solve equations. Student will be able to write chemical structures and reaction in ChemDraw.
Prerequisites
Basic skill with working on Personal Computer, basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 2021, OriginLab and ChemDraw softwares.

Home assignment evaluation, Student performance assessment

100% attendance at seminars. Passing all continuous tests on PC.
