Fibre composites.The properties of composites during deformation. Production of composites. Basic materials for production both partical and fibre composites. Matrices.Resins. Termoplastics.Ceramics.Selection of matrices.Kinds of fibres, short and long ones. Coupling agents.Nanocomposites.Composites testing. Optical tests. Mechanical tests. The subject introduces to students to main principles and facts of composite materials. The subject describes formation,properties, kinds,behavior,producing, manufacturing and applications of composites.

Oral examination, Written examination
The assesment comprises a written test and oral exam. An integral part of the examination is discussion on selected topics.
