Course content
|
Atmospheric pollution, gas sampling. Dust particles in air determination, automatic dust analyzers. Sulphur compounds in the atmosphere (SO2, SO3, H2S), sampling, determination, results evaluation. NOx in atmosphere, sampling, analyses including automatic analysers Carbon oxides in the atmosphere (CO2, CO), IR analysers Volatile organic compounds in the atmosphere, concentration techniques Formaldehyde determination at the workplace. Use of gas chromatography analysis of organic compounds in atmosphere. Non volatile pollutants in the atmosphere determination (PAU) Non volatile pollutants in the atmosphere determination (PCB, polychlorinated dioxins)

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the subject is to inform students about air analysis and theoretical and practical ground of modern instrumental methods used in this field.
Graduates acquire needful knowledge in the field of air analysis, and they can work in measuring group, they can work in terrain, they can interpret and work on analytical results.

Prerequisites
|
Basic knowledge of instrumental analysis in the scope of bachelor study of technical chemistry

Oral examination, Written examination
The final exam has written and oral part.
