Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Demonstration
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is familiarization with possibilities of utilization of information systems in the field of environmental protection, particularly with computer processing of bound spatially environmental information in a geographic information system and an overview of selected environmental databases and applications. Students will also receive an overview of sources of environmental spatial data and possibilities for their use. Lectures will include practical demonstration of the discussed methods.
Students should gain an overview of the the possibilities of using geographic information systems and about selected information resources in the area of environmental protection.
Prerequisites
Basic PC skills.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Discussion

Passing the test.
