Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the factors that must be considered when preparing a plan for a laboratory experiment, and methods of evaluating a practically performed laboratory experiment.
After completing the course, the student is able to orientate himself in the planning and evaluation of a laboratory experiment, including the communication of laboratory data, and acquires a practical qualification that is necessary for specialists providing professional work and quality control in chemical laboratories and institutions in the field of environmental protection.
Prerequisites
Basic PC skills are required. There are no special requirements for students or the assumptions on the prior knowledge of statistics and mathematics. Students should be familiar with using a computer and basic software (eg Microsoft Office), and when working with text and graphs. The evaluation of the student's performance will be based on the presentation of the submitted written semester work developed on a topic related to the dissertation.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination, Student performance assessment

The assessment is based on the presentation of a semester project on an individually assigned topic related to the focus of the dissertation.
