Introduction to economic policy - definitions, objectives, subjects, instruments, theoretical sources Conceptual approaches to economic policy Basic types of economic policy European integration and the formation of economic cooperation in Europe External economic policy, economic integration of the EU Competition policy in the Czech Republic and the EU Cohesion and regional policy Implementation of Cohesion Policy in the Czech Republic Support for economic growth - support for entrepreneurship, investment, research and innovation Social policy, employment policy and income redistribution Migration and integration policy Practical economic policy in selected countries of the world

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the subject is to familiarise students with basic knowledge in the field of theory and practice of economic policy. The subject will provide students with basic information for orientation in issues related to the position and active role of the state in a market economy. The situation will be analysed at the macroeconomic and microeconomic levels. It will focus primarily on the economic policy of the Czech Republic.

Prerequisites
|
The prerequisite of passing of the subject is knowledge of general economics in the range of the basic course (courses Microeconomics I and Macroeconomics I).
