Course content
Utility theory and consumer's optimum. Demand. Production and costs. Theory of perfect competition. Monopolistic competition. Models of duopoly. Theory of games. Price of products and services. Modern theory of company. Markets of products factors.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Methods of individual activities

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to expand and deepen students' theoretical knowledge of the behavior of economic subjects in sub-markets at a qualitatively higher level, with the use of graphic and mathematical apparatus, and to upgrade their skills in the application of microeconomic analysis tools.
Students will understand the philosophy of economics and apply acquired knowledge to real economic problems.

Microeconomics I. -basic course.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Student performance assessment

Credit: Fulfillment of the point conditions of two continuous written credit tests: the student must obtain min. 60% of the total points, the 1st intermediate test (20 points) will be written according to the scheduled events in the week from 27/10/2025. The 2nd intermediate test (20 points) will be written in the week of 8/12. 2025; a student can get a maximum of 40 points. The remedial credit test will be contain material from the entire semester (the date will be announced by the instructor). Part of the awarding of credit is activity at seminars and the completion of assigned tasks. Exam: Written with point evaluation. The main information and communication channel for the subject is IS STAG. Detailed information on completing the subject is also published in IS STAG - study materials for the subject FMIK2.
