Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Methods of individual activities
  • Home preparation for classes - 38 hours per semester

  • Contact teaching - 52 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint the students with basic issues and problems of public economics and economy and create theoretical base for further follow-up disciplines, especially public finance and economics of public sector.

Prerequisites
Students must know the basics of microeconomics, in particular they must know the principles of the functioning of markets and the behavior of economic subjects, as well as forms of imperfect competition and its impact on markets.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination, Student performance assessment

The assignment is granted upon writing 2 test and activity during the seminars and obtaining more than 60% of points. The examination is written, eventually oral.
