Course content
Reasons for the European integration. Used policies in the context of the evaluation of the EU objectives. Integration process in the field of the monetary policy. Fiscal policy and the formation of the fiscal union. Trade policy of the EU. Common agricultural policy. Regional policy of the EU. Policy on the protection of competion. Consumer protection policy. Common transport policy and building the trans-European networks. Foreign and security policy. Migration policy. Industrial policy and science and research policy.

Learning outcomes
The characteristic of the basic integration processes in terms of the states of the European Communities is the aim of the subject. The attention is paid to the objectives which were instituted by the European Union considering theirs implemented tools. The subject is focused on the evaluation of current Community policies in context of theirs impacts on the economy of the Union as the whole and on the economies of the particular member states.
Student will be able to orientate in the complicated environment of the European integration, or to better understand theirs conditions and mutual relationships of separate policies in the EU.
Prerequisites
The knowledge of the issue of the economics and economic policy taught in bachelor study is the condition.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Student performance assessment

The assessment will be given on the basis of elaboration and acceptation of the seminar work. Alternative assignment will be given on the basis of acceptance of research from foreign language literature. The exam will be written (for ordinary and the first resit term), oral (for the second resit term).
