Course content
The introduction to public economics II The historical development of public economics and the opinions of it The state of welfare The economical fundaments of the modern state The economical analysis of the public goods The models for public good providing The theory of public choice The economical theory of policy The economical behavior of bureaucracy The theory of governance The theoretical and practical aspects of effectiveness of public sector The public interest - the conception, characteristics and the meaning for the analyzing of public sector

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Methods of individual activities
Learning outcomes
The overview in public economics and its theoretical problems is the objective of these lectures. The problems of public choice, control and economical analysis of the public goods will be discusses. The students must understand the problems with public interest, public failures, decision making in public choice, also the effectiveness of public sector and bureaucracy will be the themes.
Students will be able to solve partial problems of public economics, they will understand causes and effects of particular public economic processes and know how to select and apply adequate methods when solving selected problems of public economics and economy. Students will be able to defend these methods in the discussion.
Prerequisites
The knowledge from Microeconomics (II. level) courses are supposed.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination, Student performance assessment

The assignment is granted upon sucessfull credit text (more than 60 %). The examination is written, eventually oral.
