Organization of the insurance company. Technical reserves. Business of insurance companies. Solvency of insurance companies. Development of the system of insurance in the Czech Republic. Trends in the insurance markets. Marketing in the system of insurance. Financial analysis in the system of insurance.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint the students with basic issues of the organizational conception of the insurance company, organization of internal and external services, economic framework of the insurance company functioning, global development trends in the system of insurance and further economic aspects of the insurance company business.
Students will understand basic issues of the insurance company economics, it is gaining and placing the financial resources, evaluating of the insurance company financial stability and instruments increasing the efficiency of the insurance company. Furthermore, students will understand organizational structure of the insurance company and interconnections of its departments.

The assignment is granted upon completion of the following conditions: attendance at seminars and completion of the seminar paper. The examination is written and oral.
