Course content
Basic aims and instruments of social policy in the democratic state. Models used in pension insurance. Models of construction of illness insurance. The main approaches to employment policy. Conception of state social support. Conception of state social succour. Social services. Methods of evaluation of efficiency in social services. Conception of family policy. Conception of housing policy. Social enterprise. Actual questions of social security.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Methods of individual activities
Learning outcomes
Prezentation of basic informations about social policy in democratic state and to outline the actual problems of social security.
Student will be able to use acquired theoretical knowledge in the economic and social sphere as well as in further study of the follow-up Master courses.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Student performance assessment

The assignment will be given on the basis of active participation during the seminars, elaboration and defence of seminar work. The alternative assignment will be given on the basis of acceptance of seminar work elaborated according to instuctions specified at seminars. The exam will be written (for ordinary and the first resit term), oral (for the second resit term).
